Walking The Nile

Lev Wood, Alex’s longstanding friend at Nottingham and Army buddy is shortly to set off on a 12-month, 4,250-mile journey up the Nile through Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, South Sudan, North Sudan and Egypt.

As well as tackling mountain ranges, the Sahara in the summer and jungle terrain, he will have to navigate the world’s largest swamp, land mines, civil war and wild animals in seven national parks.

Lev intends to raise a substantial amount for his nominated charities, which include AMECA. The primary focus will be on conservation and healthcare projects in Sub Saharan Africa.

We express our gratitude to Lev and wish him a safe passage on this epic journey.
