Opening of the new HDU at St Joseph’s Mission Hospital

AMECA is very proud to announce the opening of the new HDU at St Joseph’s Hospital in January 2019. Responding to a request from the hospital, AMECA decided to help in the total renovation of the badly dilapidated High Dependency Unit. We are especially proud to have completed this project on time and within budget. As ever, nothing is possible without the kindness and generosity of others. AMECA would like to express our deepest gratitude to The Catz Charity Foundation in the Netherlands and to Malawi.Kom for their donations and their help, without which this initiative would not have been possible.

The renovations included new flooring, wiring, lighting and new patient bays, together with total redecoration. AMECA also made possible the donation of new oxygen concentrators, vital signs monitors and other medical equipment, beds and furniture. We think you will agree that the transformation has been quite impreesive. The full story can be viewed at this link.
